As bachelor thesis, I created a folding screen collection for a primary school. The collection “Parapprendre” consists of two screen-types, with three different designs.
The screens make separate workspaces possible
and they ensure a good acoustic in the classrooms.
With new ways of teaching, it is necessary
to create better working conditions.
Typography, the base of knowledge, is the main inspiration for the collection. Analogue sketches which are related to typographic elements build the starting point. In a next step, they were transformed into patterns. Those patterns I realized with the technique of Silkscreen Printing.
On one hand, the patterns full fill
the importance of creating a patience
and on the other hand, they are interesting
and animating for the kids and students.
